Story Line

A teenage girl, Tess, struggles against her single, Chinese-American father as she tries to come to terms with moving to a new city. But when Tess finds her father pensively looking at an old family photo of himself as a kid back in China, the two of them have a moment of connection and reconciliation. Through a shared experience of leaving behind their childhood homes, this is a story of a first-generation-immigrant father and a second-generation daughter slowly swinging into sync.
